Donor Thanks & Impact

Veterans gather in a circle around a fire in an Alaska meadow.

Every gift, partnership, and act of service helps carry the mission forward.

Pioneers & Veterans Base Camp is built through the generosity of people and organizations who believe in wilderness, purposeful transition, strong partnerships, and the preservation of pioneer and veteran legacy.

Thank You to Our Supporters

We are grateful to the Jack Kagan Foundation for supporting the work and helping strengthen the foundation from which P&V can grow.

We also thank the Women's Veterans Fund in Memory of Mary Louise Rasmuson at the Alaska Community Foundation for supporting women veterans and the experiences that build connection, confidence, mentorship, and community.

How Support Creates Impact

  • Prepares Base Camp to receive and support veteran wilderness partners.
  • Helps deliver thoughtful programs, including the Alaska Women Veterans Retreat and Uniform to University.
  • Supports research, reflection, and mentor development so experience can lead to lasting next steps.
  • Preserves photographs, stories, oral histories, and artifacts connected to pioneer and veteran heritage.
  • Strengthens stewardship of the land and the operational capacity required to serve safely and well.

Accountability and Future Updates

Approved program outcomes, stories, and recognition details will be added as the work progresses. We will share only information that has been reviewed for accuracy, participant privacy, and donor preferences.
